Mental health counseling has many benefits. Whether you desire to learn coping skills for anxiety/depression, are managing symptoms of Bipolar, are interested in DBT skills for personality disorders, or are in a self exploration stage of life, we are here to help.

We also have the ability to offer movement as part of your treatment. Fitness is shown to be able to reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression. 


*Movement is never mandatory in a treatment plan. It is only an option for those who are interested* 


Our mission at RVA Personal Wellness is to implement a personalized treatment plan to help you identify and meet your goals.

Everyone's story and reaction to experiences are different and there isn't a textbook treatment plan that benefits everyone. At RVA Personal Wellness we take a very person-centered approach and will apply the counseling theory and techniques that are best suited to you and your goals. 

Although all treatment plans are individualized, one thing will remain the same through all plans; it will be client-driven. 

At RVA Personal Wellness we strongly believe that the client must remain in the driver seat of their therapy and we will happily be here to support and guide you through your counseling journey. 

You will be challenged to look at things from different perspectives and explore and challenge your current thought patterns and behaviors with us as your non-judgemental guide.

 These can include decreasing the risk of high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease and diabetes. It can also control weight, improve your muscle strength and boost your energy and endurance throughout the day! However, fitness also has emotional benefits. Fitness can also reduce stress, lower the risk of anxiety and depression, boost your self-esteem and improve your sleep. The same is said for making healthier choices with your nutrition. You wouldn’t put anything other than gasoline in your car and expect it to run efficiently, so why would you expect your body to “run” at it’s most efficient if you aren’t fueling correctly? We can help you find the right fitness and nutrition fuel!
