Our Founder, Layne Mitchell, entered the mental health field in 2013 and quickly became aware of the connection between physical activity and emotional health. Upon entering the fitness community she saw trends of letting fitness-based results (or lack there of) produce negative emotional health, inter-community competition, eating disorders and fitness stagnation. She built RVA Personal Wellness around the vision of measuring our wellness success by how we feel emotionally and physically and not by a number of the scale. Our passion is helping individuals explore the barriers they face to find the physical activity that they love, to get them moving and keep them moving and having RVA feeling great!
We offer many different formats of fitness, in multiple different settings. If you feel we don’t offer what you are looking for, reach out to us! We will bring your fitness dreams to life!
These can include decreasing the risk of high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease and diabetes. It can also control weight, improve your muscle strength and boost your energy and endurance throughout the day! However, fitness also has emotional benefits.
Fitness can also reduce stress, lower the risk of anxiety and depression, boost your self-esteem and improve your sleep.
The same is said for making healthier choices with your nutrition. You wouldn’t put anything other than gasoline in your car and expect it to run efficiently, so why would you expect your body to “run” at it’s most efficient if you aren’t fueling correctly?

Wellness plans tailored to your needs and your goals.
$60 per hour- Month to month.
(1) one-hour session a week or (2) thirty minute sessions a week. You will receive a copy of all the workouts.
At Home Personal Training
$85 per hour
For individuals that have trouble getting out of the house.
Constraints that keep you at home? We will come to you!
Working out with your partner or your friend(s) is a blast!
This is a great way to cut the cost and still get the personal feel.
You will receive a copy of all of the group workouts. *Larger groups are welcomed and can be discussed*
A full-focus, weekly, hour of fitness with the purpose of challenging you to push beyond your limits faster than you thought possible.
We go hard, but we respect your limits.

Multiple pricing options, first class free!
At RVA Personal Wellness we understand that sometimes our barriers to physical activity are emotional barriers.
If you want to explore those, we offer a 30 minute counseling/life coaching paired with 30 mins of physical movement option.
$80 an hour.
Another great option for individuals that have trouble getting out of the house.
$175 a month, 3 month commitment.
RVA Personal Wellness will provide you with a tool box of information and workouts to help you reach your wellness goals!
2 workouts per week, basic nutritional guidance, accountability check-ins, and more!
ADVANCED ONLINE COACHING
$260 per month, 3 month commitment.
This option includes all the benefits of our online wellness coaching plus one personal training session at your home per month.
Certified Personal Training
Helping expecting and postpartum moms take charge of their bodies and their decisions, while supporting one another’s journeys—together and apart.
This option is for individuals that want to try new forms of exercise but just don’t know where to start.
$50 per hour
RVA Personal Wellness will research locations, times and dates and get you set up! We will even come take the class with you :)
All you have to do is show up and be open to new things.
This is a great team building activity. It is also a great way for individuals to get to know each other better and build a close sense of community.
RVA Personal Wellness will facilitate a 30 day wellness challenges for your friends, wedding party, company, church, county club etc.
4 Weeks to Healthy Habits includes:
- One 60-minute in-person session per week
*During this session you will workout, plan your week of workouts, discuss your meal planning, and discuss any question or concerns you have.
- Five at-home 60-90 minute workouts that include:
- Equipment that you need for week's workouts
- Option to meal share
- Support from Facebook Group.
